Step 2.
Hover your mouse over each of the images below to see the difference between how the Panasonic Lumix TZ10 sees life and how I see it. You might have to hover a few seconds for my view to load but don’t give up, they are all there!
Step 3.
Put on your Super Jet Shoes (mine are my boots) and let’s get going!

My constant companion for the day is my phone. Music, friends and fun are just a second away with this…

The Panasonic Lumix TZ10 is around the same size as my phone though it’s a little heavier. I have been keeping it in my jacket pocket ever since I got it. It has a lot of features that a gigantic camera has like a big zoom but it still has a little body. Great for snapping on the go. The “Intelligent Auto” feature makes it quite difficult (even for someone as uncoordinated as me) to take a bad photo.
We have started to catch the tram places now to see friends but it’s so different to Brisbane public transport!

Quick start up means you can get photos in a few seconds and snap stuff you wouldn’t normally see like the inside of a tram without the driver.
I actually think trams look like gigantic electric kitties. The second I saw them I was reminded of Susie who is obsessed with kitties!

The big back wires that hang everywhere remind me of spider webs or maybe knitting… or maybe gigantic knitting spiders.

Fancy “Intelligent Auto” feature means I can take photos in terrible lighting without having to fiddle with stuff or have the technical knowledge that James does.
Sometimes not having a car can be tough with getting all of our groceries or bigger items home but it’s much easier with a little help ^_^

Of course you really just can’t go past the shopping here ;)

We visited Chadstone that day too and it’s massive!

Do you see a bit of a continued theme here yet??

More interestingly is what happens when I see something like this…

That happens quite a bit. I really try to see what something could turn into rather that what it already is ;)
I wish our landlord allowed pets but I can always dream!

Very big zoom which allows you to take covert photos of other people’s pets from the tram ;)
That pretty much sums me up I think… I hope you’ve enjoyed being in my brain for a day!

This shot was taken using the “Pin Hole” setting which is my favorite of the ridiculous amount of settings. I’ve been using the food setting lots too ^_^
So all of the photos in this post were taken with the Panasonic Lumix TZ10 aaaand thanks to Panasonic and Nuffnang you guys have the chance to win one just like mine! Well maybe not *just* like mine because I’ve already deco’d mine mwahaha ;)

So about the actual camera, I’m going to do a big proper pros/cons review on the Panasonic Lumix TZ10 this week in terms of being a good camera for blogging and showing the quality of the HD video etc but here is a quick run down of my 3 favorite features:
-The big thing with Panasonic Lumix TZ10 is that it has built in GPS so if you go on holidays or you’re traveling around town near landmarks it will remember where you were and tag your photos with the location! The drawback to this is that unless you specifically switch the function off, it chews through battery even if the camera is off. The photo organization software it comes with also only works on a PC so I wasn’t able to test it.
-My absolute favorite feature is that you can register people on it so when you focus on me it actually says “Violet” and comes up with a little heart, how cute is that?! You can even register your pets!
-It can also take HD videos and fits neatly in my bag or pocket which is very useful for blogging!
This is the basic information from their website for the more tech savvy of you:
Key Points for the Panasonic Lumix TZ10:
- Built-in GPS for easy organization of the photos you took on your holidays!
- 25mm wide-angle 12x optical zoom f/3.3-4.9 LEICA DC VARIO-ELMAR lens…allowing it to have twice the shooting area of the standard 35mm lens
- Double hand-shake correction allowing you to take beautiful night shots at slow shutter speeds without blurring
- Record movies in HD with no loss of image quality!
- 12.1 Megapixels
- RRP AU$650
More information for the Panasonic Lumix TZ10 can be found here.

I will take my Lumix TZ10 to the beach.
I’ve always wanted to take a fun and playful picture like this: http://weheartit.com/entry/3436505
short and sweet- a picture’s worth a thousand words they say! how appropriate! :)
Awesome! Thanks for entering Wina!
Yay! Sorry about the mistake >_< I'm so glad you liked it! Going to look at yours now :D
hehe i would take it to japan of course and photograph the gorge cherry blossoms :)
Oh that would be lovely!
My Entry: I would take the Panasonic Lumix TZ10 to Berlin and take a photo of my boyfriend with one foot in West Berlin and the other in East Berlin!
My Comment: That song is very catchy, it sounds like Morning Musume have inhaled helium! The pictures are funny and really smartly done, I wish I could blog as well as you do!
It really is catchy right? I’m so glad you enjoyed the post and good luck in the competition!
This is such a cute post! I love the tram kitty!
I’d take my camera to the old town in Stockholm (lazy, since it’s where I live…) where many buildings are over 100 years old and so beautiful! There are lots of cute little cobblestone alleys that are, in my opinion, perfect for fashion shoots. So I’d take some clothes out and make a stunning photo series.

Heehee thank you! Tram kitty for the win! Good luck with your entry!
Yay! More contest please =)
I would bring TZ10 with me wherever I go. And use it to take different pictures. From strangers like homeless under rain, kids running in the park, sunset at the beach, delicious food, historic buildings to family and friends. I’ll be using it to snap pictures at my own graduation, to capture that very special moment, smiles and proud in my parents eyes. I’ll be using it to snap what I see when I travel around Aussie-land, and when I’m at the United State, Egypt, Japan and Europe in the upcoming months. It would be great to carry TZ10 because it is light, suitable for ladies who love photography, want to take good pictures but didn’t want to carry the heavy DSLR.
Cheers x

Haha hopefully more contests soon, good luck with your entry!

Aww cute! Good luck :D
I just love how you did your photos! Your brain isn’t scary at all; its actually quite cute!!! I thought the same thing about the Charmmy bags store (Charmmy Kitty?! I love Charmmy Kitty almost as much as The Cat herself! Oh, wait a minute, thats not some odd Sanrio store, it has backpacks in the window! T_T;;)
Err, don’t enter me… I live quite a ways away from Australia.
Sydney recently blogged about..Series- Do off-brand beauty products really work
Omg I love Charmmy Kitty so much! I saw it out of the corner of my eye and almost jumped out of the tram, luckily I realised it was a bag store in time XD I’m so glad you liked the post!
Awww, Super Jet Shoes~ have you heard the original version by Ishii Rika (AKA Peachy)? It’s just as adorable!
Oh yes! Peachy’s version is totally cute too :D
Oh so cute! Love the photos and the drawings, fav is your new puppy off the street haha.
I would take my Panasonic Lumix TZ10 on a picnic! To snap the beautiful Brisbane weather and my gorgeous friends!
Heehee people of Melbourne beware me stealing your puppies! Good luck in the comp!

I would take it to Italy, which is where i am going in October. I would love to take some beautiful pictures of the Tuscan countryside with it :)
Cool! Good luck!
You’re so creative! I love your little drawings on everything :-D
Esz recently blogged about..Life Drawing – 9th August
XD Thanks haha this is what happens when I have too much time on my hands.
“Where in the World would you take the Panasonic Lumix TZ10 and what photo would you take?”
I would take the TZ10 to Japan and take photos of the amazing street styles you can find there! Then I’d post them on my blog of course. >w< Ooo, and if I could find some cats sitting in a cherry tree I'd take photos of them too!
Comment ~ Love your pictures over the pictures, they were really cute and cool!
xox,
b. of Depict This!

“Where in the World would you take the Panasonic Lumix TZ10 and what photo would you take?”
I’d take it into the depths of cities and photograph little secret stores, restaurants, all of the places you don’t normally see. I’d document the fashion of the underground and try to photograph as many styles as possible, then write a book documenting my findings.
I’m so odd LOL
Tash recently blogged about..Vlog 2
Ahaha that’s totally not odd, that’s a very cool think to do with it! Good luck Tash!
I would travel as many places as possible to take pictures of gorgeous, frilly, pink, elegant, and C.U.T.E. everythings ♥
:D Good luck in the competition!!
I somewhat relate with how you see the world. I’m so glad I’m not the only one who personify transportation vehicles, and see fully formed craft projects when gazing upon raw materials.
As a long time reader, first time poster – I thought I might give the comp a little spin since I REALLY need a camera (I would have said “new camera” but I’ve never actually gone out and bought my own camera, they’ve always been borrowed)…
Comp entry:
My dear Violet, I would love to win this camera as it seems to be the only thing that might be able to take photos of my beautiful rattie boys (who are all too hyperactive to take good photos of). I would therefore take it home, and try to snap photos of them when they are all upside-down in my hands with their little paws on their little fluffy tummies. I promise I will link you to a little movie of them if I win this camera. *love*
Aw thanks so much for commenting Lutetium, I am so glad you decided to enter :D I hope you have good luck with your entry!
I can really relate to how you see the world. I’m glad I’m not the only one who personify transporation vehicles, and see fully formed craft projects when I gaze upon raw materials.
As a long time reader, first time poster – I thought I’d give this comp a little spin. Mostly because I REALLY need a camera to call my own (no more borrowing and begging for me!).
Comp entry:
Dear Violet, I would travel to my home and take photos of my beautiful rattie boys (which is almost impossible even with the boyfriend’s big pro-looking camera because they won’t stay put and usually look like fat blurs or only get the tip of their tail as they run off). I’ve always want to get a photo of them when I bundle them all up in my hands and flip them on their backs so their little paws go flop and rest on their cute fuzzy tumtums. This has been tried many times and failed miserably. I hope that this camera can finally help me achieve this. I also promise that I will send you that photo if I win the camera :D
*love*
Ooops double entry, we’ll just count the first one :D
I would take it around Melbourne to always make sure I capture the little gems I find.
Yay good luck Sally!
Hello Violet,
I would take the camera to Rome. I am going there with my History of Typography class at uni in a couple of months, and I would take pictures of all that we will be shown. Beautifully carved lettering in blocks of stone so full of history its unbelievable. Pictures like that would be inspirational for years to come, and it would help me remember the trip better.
Oh wow that sounds wonderful Anne! Thanks for entering!
Hi Violet!
Absolutely love your blog. I chanced upon it when I was searching for a tutorial to make bows! :D
I’ve an idea for a tutorial (I hope you’re interested!)
Could you show us steps to create our very own cartoon of ourselves? The details seems so intricate!
Thanks so much for reading and commenting Mischa! I will definitely add that to my list of tutorials to make, though it would probably be hard because everyone’s cartoon would look so different, hmm I’ll have a think. Thanks so much for the idea!
Your silly, fluffy pink brain is a lovely place to be!! (Tho of course it only APPEARS fluffy – it’s really sharp and high-tech, as we all know)
Stunningly creative post!! I’d take the Lumix to Japan of course, but would have to think about what picture I’d most like to take…
trashtastika recently blogged about..Atelier Pierrot – gothic lolita brand now has another English shopping website
Of course, of course sharp and high tech :D Thank you very much and good luck in the comp!
I loved the “No Right Turn” to “Shoe Shop Ahead” that was definitely the most awesome one, I laughed too loudly for this time of night!
I would like to take my Panasonic Lumix TZ10 BACK IN TIME! It’s still within this world so I hope that still counts! I’d love to take a shot each decade of my rural town developing over the past 150 years and mural of it!
and make a mural of it* Haha I stuffed up! The dangers of not proof-reading >:(
XD I got the general idea!
Haha yay for shoes! That would be an awesome mural! Good luck in the competition!
Your photos turned out really nice! It looks like such a nice camera, though of course I immediately color it milky pink in my head (I do that with all electronics though ^^; haha) and think it looks better! I am not a resident of Australia, but I wanted to answer the question anyway!! (Hope that is OK)
If I had a new camera (mine only just broke) I would take it on whacky adventures! I just moved to Taiwan and really wish I could document all the different things here to post on Facebook or Livejournal or my (sadly neglected) blog! This past month I have gone touring with a summer camp and just came back from mad mountain trips where it is a bit of a trend to have rocks and colors on the mountainside resemble things like a gorilla, an alligator, the Monkey King, a cabbage, etc. A camera would have been so nifty!
Of course you are welcome to answer though it won’t count towards the competition ^_^ Haha I’ve already deco’d the camera because I didn’t want to see the black anymore! I would have much preferred it in milky pink too :) Oh wow you’ve moved to Taiwan? That must be such a fun adventure! The places you’ve visited sound fantastic for photos! Thanks so much for commenting :D
Hi! Wow the pictures look amazing, and yo’re adorable!!!!!!!!!
If I had the Lumix TZ10, I would love to travel the world and take picture of me next to all the world’s greatest landmarks! Taking pictures of the world at it’s best :D!
:D Yay thanks for entering! Good luck!
Where in the world would I take a Panasonic Lumix TZ10?
I’d go visit the villages of beautiful people scattered around the South Pacific Islands. To be able to capture the culture and spirt of these people would be amazing and something that I could look back on for inspiration in the years to come. I would also be able to share the experience with others who may not have the chance to do the same.
Love the blog Violet. Your new posts make my day!
Bec
Aww thanks Bec! Good luck in the competition :D
Where in the world would I take the beautiful Panasonic Lumix TZ10?
Well, after a few years of existing without a properly functioning camera, I would probably take this little gem in to my welcomed arms and take it EVERYWHERE with me. It doesn’t matter where the destination might be! I could be trudging in the cold, wet weather of Melbourne to University; to all of my shopping and food adventures; and even to any sort of bathroom (just so I can take some self shots of myself!) ~! And this of course means that I would take not only beautiful scenery photos, or use it in photoshoots of when I cosplay with my boyfriend – but even for the times when I feel like taking a picture of my feet! Why? Well, why wouldn’t you? With a camera like this …why would you not want to use it to it’s maximum potential?
As usual Violet, your Nuffnang posts for these products are always awesome *-*!
Melody recently blogged about..Purchases
:D Thanks so much Melody! I’m so glad that you enjoyed it, I always try extra hard to make these posts not boring!
I’d love to take the Panasonic TZ10 to southern Western Australia during the spring season to take great close up photos of all the beautiful wild flowers and birdlife.
Thanks for entering, good luck!
I would try to capture all the beautiful and shiny things that I come across in my daily life, so I’d have to take it everywhere. From trudging to work, to jetting off on holiday, interesting photos are out there wating to be taken I would diligently hunt them down if i had the Panasonic TZ10
Thanks for entering Katie! Good luck!
