Wow, those are so cute! I’ve always loved the idea of customizing sneakers but I’m always afraid I’ll mess up. xD Thanks for another great tutorial!

    • Aww you should totally give it a try, just draw with pencil first or chalk as suggested in the comments until you’re happy with the design!

  3. These are so amazing!! I have the same white sneakers but I never wear them cos they’re plain and boring! Yayyy! As soon as my assessments are over, I’m going to customise :D ! …Hmmm, I want copic markers :( Most of my markers/texters/etc are quite dark(?) :C

    • Oh you should totally do this! Copic markers are really good but super expensive, I felt a little guilty using fancy art markers on sneakers XD You should check Office Works, I think I saw Sharpies on sale for like $1 and there were lots of pastels!

If you use fabric chalk you can draw your designs before making them permanent.

I have a pair of chucks from high school that my friends and I doodled on during study hall.

  5. Those are very cute and the design on them is just so professional looking. I love the way you did the leopard print!

    • Thank you so much Caro, that’s a huge compliment! I am a huge sucker for leopard print in the right setting, pastels for the win!

  6. ooo so cute xxx

  7. Those are gorgeous! I bought a bunch of canvas sneakers for $5 each and I’ve been tizzying them up to sell on etsy. I can’t wait until they’re all finished.

Have you tried spraying it with Scotchgard to waterproof it??

    • I haven’t tried scotchgard but that’s a good idea ^_^ I think I probably wouldn’t bother at the moment because I don’t go anywhere wet but definitely in future :D Thanks!

  13. Beautiful!!! *o* If only I could draw even just half as well as you, I’d totally try this out!!! But at this point, it would just look like my shoes did back when I doodled on them during class in junior high >_>;; Instead I’ll just keep staring at your pictures XD Really, excellent job with these!!!

Oohh, looks fun! I might try this over Christmas break with a pair of old sneakers I have. I’ll need to bleach them first, they’re a little greyed. But, I’ll get me some markers! And maybe take a trip to AC Moore. I’ll get some rhinestones and bows. Decoden sneakers!

    • I’ve done deco sneakers before and they look awesome! You just have to make sure to use flexible glue so it doesn’t all flake off, I hope it turns out really well for you!
