Blah storage problems, how to store hair accessories?

I get a whole lot of reader request for cute storage tips so today I’m going to share with you how I store my scarves and accessories. These are only going to be very rough tutorials because I made the items many many months ago ^_^

I have to apologize for the quality of these photos, James is wiping his computer today so I can’t use his fancy camera, these were all taken with my phone >_<

First question is about how to store scarves. I love scarves, they are completely awesome and super versatile. I always have one on my handbag for emergencies! But when you have this many it can be quite hard to store them. I previously had them in a drawer but it’s so hard to find the one you want without searching through all 7 million of them…

  1. Only you could make something sweet out of toilet rolls – go you!! Hope James’ pc survives its labotomy :)

    • Mwahaha nothing, not even toilet rolls are safe from my crafting hands! James’ computer is still mid-lobotomy drama, very annoying but very necessary!

  2. Ooooooooooooo Violet you always make organizing so fun and pretty!

All my hair clips and bows sit in a big stack or bag so I can’t wait to make me one of those ^____^

    • Yay for being organised in a cute way! Seriously, this is a great way to display everything too because you don’t have to dig through them all to find one… and your wall looks nice and pretty :D

  3. Wow that’s a really good idea to store pins and hair accessories. Maybe I will try it too. Let’s see. ^^ ’cause my hair accessories are all in a box and so I must search and search to find something. That’s really stupid. ^^

    • I know what you mean Tsukiko about having to search. When I had my accessories in a drawer I always forgot what was in there too >_< Let me know if you try it out :D

Always coming up with fantastic ideas. I love the one for the scarves – mine are all in a draw.

    • Mine were in a draw too but it’s so annoying to dig through >_< I always used to forget the ones on the bottom that were hidden under the others!

  5. looking cute ^^ i love ur ideas!

  6. You are really creative, as one person already said you make organizing fun and so cute! Love your ides! Thanks for posting them all!

    • Aww no worries! I’m so glad that so many people enjoy posts like this, it makes me so excited to move to my new house and actually be able to make even more cute storage solutions ^_^ Thank you so much for reading!

  7. I LOVE the scarve holder! I just bought 2 scarves today and I was wondering how I could store the ’cause they were all just hanging on a hook at my dorm. So thanks for that! Can’t wait to make it! (if school give me some free time I will soon!)

I have another type of hairaccessories holder (should make a tutorial on that one too) your’s cute!! ^^

    • I love scarves to death! I can’t wait to see if you make this one :D Thank you and good luck with school!

  10. Awww~that’s so cute! :)) Thnx for sharin’ cutie! I think i’ll be making a scarf hangign thingie for myself! <3 Huggles*

  11. Ow this a nice idea, I do need to organize my scarfs!
I have pinned…(pint? pined) all me hair clips on long ribbons so when I put them into the cupboard, the wont mess up that much..you could also hang ribbons on your wall and pin the things on..:D

  12. Oh, this is the sort of thing I’m looking for right now! My daughter and I keep getting our hair accessories stolen by the cat, and stashed under my son’s bed! So I was trying to work out a way to put them up high and out of his way. Plus it saves time finding the buggers.

How are the bows in the middle of the fabric staying on? Are they pins/brooches? Don’t mind me, I’m not fully with it this time of morning!

    • Hahaha a kitty stealing hair clips sounds so adorable!! Yep you’re right, the ones in the middle are pin/brooches, you can also get a bit fancy and cut strips into the middle and clip in even more normal hair clips… it that makes any sense LOL I am definitely not functioning well in the morning without tea!
