  1. omg honey, i never even knew your hair was that long!!!!
    its soo cute <3

    • Haha yeah it’s gotten so long over the last year it’s crazy! I grew it out from a chin length bob! <3 Thank you!

  2. KAWAII DESU!~ ^^ so very cute…btw the necklace looks beautiful^^

  3. ami

your hair colour is totally ridiculous-

CUTE!! I have hot rollers too and never have much success with them. Boo – and why don’t they give you enough clips to cover all the rollers?

I might try out that Tresemme stuff – I use one of their 24 Hour Body sprays and it’s fantastic. SO awesome for how cheap it is. :-D

    • I totally know what you mean about not enough clips!! I fricking hate the metal ones, they are so useless >_< I would totally recommend the Tresemme spray, my hair *hates* to be curled, seriously it will not hold a curl at all anymore but the Tresemme really helps. It's fantastic for doing pin curls too :D

  5. Yet again another fabulously in depth tutorial and showcasing how fabulous you are. Now I want to get hot rollers. You cruel cruel girl <3

    • XD It’s payback for making me want all of the comfy looking clothes in your Mori-gyaru post! Super love to you<3

Is it just me or do your eyes look much bigger in this post?
You really look like a doll now ^^

    • Aww thank you! I am actually wearing different circle lenses in this post (review is coming soon for them) and also I’ve done my make up in a more traditional hime style. There’s a tutorial coming for this make up soon too ^_^

  7. dearie it’s adorable!! :) though i know i will never (and can never) be as patient to curl my ponytails section by section like that! hehe :)

    • :D Thank you! It can be quite tedious but once you get the the rhythm the pony tails are done in no time XD

  8. ilse

Yay! The tutorial is here! (/^.^)/
You and your posts overloaded with cuteness :)

  9. AHH! SO KAWAII :)

  10. omg so cute ur hair is so long!!!

  11. Oh my gosh I am even too lazy to do loose long curls sometimes like the girls do in Vivi let alone this! You’re amazing haha! I’ve always kind of wanted to do gyaru fashion like the Popteen girls but every time I flick through the magazines i’m like ‘well i’m not going to be bothered waking up 2 hours before just to do my makeup and hair!’. Actually slightly off topic, but I went to Japan two years ago and I put on makeup everyday but it’s very natural… I saw a lot of gyaru around Harajuku which I hung around a lot in and suddenly I felt really NAKED… like literally naked with my messy hair and my natural makeup!

    • Haha this is definitely not something I would do every single day but it’s fun for a special occasion! I wouldn’t wake up 2 hrs early either, I’d rather sleep! Haha I think being around well dressed people can make you feel self conscious about how you dress, it happens to be all the time!

  12. very cute!! Love it!
I have curls of my own so I’m thinking if I could do this without the curling things.

  13. Thanks for the tutorial, the hairstyle is so cute. I will try it out soon!

  14. That is soo cute! I was meaning to ask you, how do you pronounce ‘hime’?

    • Lauren

Haha I’m kinda curious too, I’ve always said it as “He-Mey” with the ‘He’ part kinda like hee hee (as in when people giggle) Let’s hope I haven’t been making an utter dick of myself!

      • Yep you’re pretty much correct! With standard Japanese pronunciation (I am in way an expert btw just repeating what I was taught) it’s HEEMEH. I tend to slip into HEEMAY because of my Aus accent but you get the general idea :D Extra points if you can say it in an ultra KAWAII voice and make a peace sign :P

    • Hime being pronounced in the correct Japanese way is HEEMEH, the “hi” part is like the he in “he went fishing” and the “me” is like the first part of the word “mention” or “many”. Because I have a weird Australian cross other junk accent sometimes it comes out more like HEEMAY >_<

I assume you’re wearing circle lenses in these pictures? Your eyes look really big and pretty! Would you recommend the heated curlers? I really hate using a curling wand, I find that it just doesn’t do good enough of a job for how much your arm hurts after using it! I have a lot of trouble doing the back myself so I thought this would be a good alternative! Thanks for your many tutorials :P I re-made the epic cake for Easter and brought it into work, everyone was marvelling at it (I added some chocolate egg decorations) and saying it looked like something from Alice in Wonderland (err… not too sure what they meant by that though?!)

    • Yep I’m wearing new violet coloured lenses that I’m going to review soon! I *LOVE* them so much :D And yes I would totally recommend heated rollers, my hair hates to hold a curl but once I got the hang of these it works quite well. I would definitely recommend getting a good curling solution like the Tresemme one too, it really helps! I’m the same, I hate curling wands, they are just a paaaain to use and the curls fall out after 5min >_< These are actually better for your hair because they are gentle and you can have breakfast while you wait for them to cool :D Oh yay I’m glad the Epic cake was a hit!

  16. Ok, gotcha! Now I get it:)

  17. Loving your curls and your big dolly eyes!! :)

  18. Kari

That’s so cute! Thanks for the tutorial ^.^ I’m usually really bad at understanding hair tutorials, but yours are always really clear and easy to follow ^.^ I can’t wait for my hair to get long enough to try it :-P

    • I’m so glad you could follow it :D I much prefer to do tutorials like this in photos so you can see all the little details :D Let me know if you try it and good luck growing your hair!

  19. Looks a little hard to do I think I’ll just skip this hair do & admire that someone actually knows how to do it ;)

  20. OMG! I really love that hair! So cute~ Where did you get the hot curlers? Are they expensive?

    thankies
