Relaxing…
Sep 23, 2009 by Violet
There are some days when absolutely nothing seems to work the way it should. Work explodes into a hot sticky mess, your hair won’t sit right no matter how much hair spray you use, there is nothing but spam in your inbox and you have a migraine the size of China. I am having one of those weeks!
So what to do in this situation but take a little time to yourself and relax.
If you’re anything like me you’re not very good at relaxing. I am the kind of person that needs t do like 10 things at once or I’ll get bored and feel unproductive. So this is my guide to relaxing.
Life can be very tiring!

This is my secret relaxation kit, what you can see is:
-Pot of tea (blueberry)
-Tea cup (the cutest one you can find), milk and sugar
-Face and hair masks
-Sleep mask
-Nail polish and toe separators
-Bueno (Damn it Bueno sponsor me already so I can have free ones!)
-Cute silver tray to carry it all on.
-Advil to remove horrible headache or something stronger if needed
Optional:
-Water bottle
-Tv with Judge Judy on because she is hilarious
-Body butter for massages
-Boyfriend to apply said body butter, nail polish, pour tea, feed Bueno etc.
All of this should be done in bed with lots of comfy pillows or on a relaxing couch in front of the tv.
Preparation:
-Make a pot of tea and collect all the needed equipment
-Have a warm relaxing shower and wash your hair out, hime styles can be very tough on your hair with all of the spraying and teasing so give some love back to it!

-Apply the hair mask according to the instructions and clip your hair back to let it dry.
My favorite brand of facial mask is Montagne Jeunesse but they are all pretty much the same so just get whichever is available to you. This one is a self heating one.
It looks super gross.
Apply the mask according to the instructions, make sure to check how long you need to leave it on for.
At this point you probably look like a swamp monster so take a moment to enjoy that feeling. This effect works even better if you haven’t shaved your legs for ages ;)
Now while the face mask is setting you can take the time to paint your toe nails. If you wear high heels all the time you could also take the time to give your feet a massage, feet take a lot of weight so treat them nicely!
My poor feet are covered in blisters at the moment because I wore some heels without stockings one day ;_;
If you want them to look extra special add some diamantes or a cool konad design.
Now I usually make the tea so it has a chance to cool while I take off my face mask. I like lots of sugar!
Having a cute tea pot is very important :P
And don’t forget the Buenos! There is one for me, one for James… or maybe both for me!
Before you eat you should wash all of the face mask off. Your skin should feel smooth and beautiful. Then you can enjoy your tea :D
And if you feel like it you can take a nap! Naps are awesome, more people should take naps.
Shh I’m trying to sleep!
At the end of this you should be very chilled!
So what do you do to relax when you’re having a crap day?
Hahahaha what a funny (and useful) post!! Yes, I agree about the cute teapot and cup (I've got a Hello Kitty one, so lovely too!).
When I need to relax, I do more or less the same like you but instead of the TV, I just put on some cute and relaxin music (something like Dustin O'Halloran).. that makes me fly!
:**
Cute post! My way of relaxing is catching up on my RSS feeds. With almost 300 subscriptions it usually takes a while! Though I always feel bad for not drawing something instead.
I LOVE BUENO TOOOOO!!!! (:
I bought a Biore self-heating mask today and was quite shocked when my face started heating up =( but yay for relaxation techniques,WILL need them very soon as exams crop up =(
Oh you poor thing.. I've been having one of those days today, but alas no relaxing for me. I just want to stick my tongue out at the world and blow it a big raspberry!
I love the new layout, but the dark purple text on the lighter purple background (like in the labels section) is near impossible to read.
Other than that , I like the direction you're taking!
Hope things are looking better today for you.
xxxxx!
Candice
You are so cute. I love your photos.
cute photots ^^ i love ur eye mask ^^
Sahakiel- Oh yes a cute tea set is very necessary, cute things definitely help me relax! ah yes relaxing music would be good too although I think I would get bored if I didn't have something else to do as well!
Esz- Wow 300 subscriptions? That's an awful lot! I think I have around 100 which isn't too bad. Yeah I know the feeling, whenever I try to relax I'm always feeling guilty that I'm not doing something more constructive!
Tienyi-The one I had was a self heating mask too and I didn't expect it to work but my face got very hot! Bleh I don't miss exams, good luck doing yours and make sure to stock up on emergency Buenos ;)
Super Kawaii Mama- Oh yes I read your tweet about the mountain and the mole hill :( It was a bit sad actually, while doing this post was fun I didn't really get to enjoy most of it because the tea went cold while I was waiting for James to set up the lighting XD Thanks for the heads up on the link text, I'll go fix it up. <3
Aralka- Aww thanks :) I'm really glad you enjoy my blog, it's comments like this that make me want to keep making it!
Naka- Thanks! You should try one they are really nice.
How fun! I love your teacup. You are just too cute!
Hello Princess Violet!
Wow!! You've totally changed the design of your blog while I was away!! I love it so much!! It's so cute with lots of pinks(^0^)/
Ah~, I need one of your face masks. I want to relax with a nice cup of tea too~(^^)Thank you for sharing your lovely relaxing method and cute tea set!!
wow, what an awesome post! Makes me long for a relaxing day…but don't see that happening too soon in the future. I'm happy you got to have a nice, relaxing day though!
By the way, I love your blog…even though you've singlehandedly made me homesick for Germany with those Bueno's…
Kae- <3 I love that tea cup too! It came in a set with 4 matching ones in different pastel colours.
Princess Minnie!- Ah I'm glad you like the new design of my blog, I really enjoy drawing ^_^ One day when we're in the same city we can have a girly day and do face masks!<3
Kara- Thanks so much for commenting, I really love to meet new readers! It's great to know people are actually reading ^_^ Ah yeah it's very hard to find time to relax sometimes. You don't have Bueno's where you live now? I don't know if I could handle that! I would demand to have someone mail them to me hahaha!
lol – only you would post up pics of you with a pink face mask and pull it off!
Brooke- XD you flatter me way too much! I had to debate for ages whether I wanted to post them!
I love your ideas on relaxing. I have many bone china tea cups. My Mother started the collection and I added to it. I now have it all sadly but they're still beautiful. I have a pink tea kettle but not any teapot. You look adorable with your pink face.
Lucy- Oh I would love a collection of beautiful china. I just have this set which my Mother gave me for my birthday. I really want to have a large collection but they can be expensive! My kettle is blue, I've always though tea pots are really just for show, I don't use them everyday but every girl should have a cute one just in case ^_^
